I didn't go into this naively.  I didn't expect it to be great.  I didn't expect it to be good.  I expected it to be bad on the order of .... oh, say Resident Evil: Extinction.

But it made RE:E look like movie-making genius.  I am SO glad I didn't pay for that, and didn't bother to see it in the theatre.  This is what I get for being curious - sometimes it really does not pay off.  The pathetic part is that we even ran out of mocking material because it was so repetitive that we couldn't find anything new to mock.  And that was HALFWAY THROUGH THE MOVIE.

anybody want to rec me some vampire fics where the characters actually do have sex and there is biting?  because at this point i'm trying to do the fic=brain bleach.

I mean, Twilight made Dollhouse look good.  that's just frightening.

and ok, i know, i'm totally late to the Twilight dissing party, since it was forever ago, but ... I'm traumatized now dammit.

HEE.

I actually like Twilight for the lolz. And, sadly enough, I find myself wishing to read the rest of the books so I can read the Alice/Bella 'fic I've found because I've conceived of an odd affection for Alice Cullen.

I want to make one of my friends a shirt that says DO I DAZZLE YOU to wear to her doctoral exams...

Yeah, I think I'll be skipping this. Hubby picked up Batman: The Dark Knight yesterday and I fell asleep soon after it started (he was rubbing my feet, though, so I was blissed out). Good thing we have the movie for 5 days, but I'm not holding out much hope for staying awake again tonight.
It's been a loonnnggg Spring Break.

My poor hubby bought me the first book for my birthday because it had vamps in it. Bless him, I read it. (insert gagging noise here) Then, for kicks and giggles, I watched the movie a few days ago (pay-per-view @$2.00 doesn't sound too unreasonable) hoping it might be a little better.

*MASSIVE RETCHING NOISE*

I don't know who was worse: Bella looking all high and forgetting half her lines, or Edward looking constipated or like a rod was shoved up his backside and constantly doing the 'looking over your glasses thing even though you don't have glasses'. If I did that the whole time, my freakin' eyes would hurt, not to mention the cramp in my neck! Jasper looked like he was constantly stunned and all the characters were so FLAT they looked one-dimensional.

I want my $2 back.

It's not vampire fic and it's not perfect, but here's a really good email fic. You know how I adore email fics, and this one is totally sweet. It's Jack/Ianto (duh) set over three months' time when Ianto is away at Torchwood house taking care of the archives there.

It's 26 chapters, but don't let that scare you off. The chapters are short and it's a quick read.

I read the first two books one weekend because i wanted to waste some time and felt like reading trash. I enjoyed those four hours enormously. I refused, however, on principle to see the film.

And the next piece of pre-release Twilight merchandising i see is going to end up down the throat of the nearest teenage girl whose exclaiming how hot Pattz is. Ugh.

It looks worse! Like, without having seen even a trailer for it, it looks seedy and nasty and just... bad.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. NOW YOU SEEEEE. I refuse to pay for it, but at least I knew what I was getting into and created the action plan of not paying for it at all.

That said, the movie isn't that bad. Behold the horror that the movie > book. The movie at least has fabulous lulz of RPattz's precious face and hair, and OH GOD THE BAD WIGS (hi Cam Gigandet's abs). But I have the whole badfic addiction, so I'm embracing the sparkle (SKIN OF A KILLLLLLEERRRRRRR!!!!) and love the terribleness of this movie. But the soundtrack is pretty good. Um. Yeah, I'll shuffle away now.

I've actually heard Dollhouse has gotten a lot better. I've not yet gotten around to testing that hypothesis, though.

I refuse to see or read Twilight on principle.
