katekat: (b/f - naughty blue girls)
So, yesterday I did the requisite post-guest clean.  That took a couple of hours, and then I tried to catch up on email and the flist and finish my book (hence the werid book review post of yesterday).

The last two days of the family visit )

Then last night Neil and I went on a walk - we're trying to do this every couple of days just to get some excercise.  Besides, our neighborhood is cool, and eventually we're going to get a puppy and we'll need to walk her (at least, i hope it's going to be a her).  My step count, last night, was 2563.  Although Neil's was close to mine, so we think there may be a little something off with my pedometer.

Tomorrow I start back on the studying thing, so I can work on studies before I go back to school.  Especially since I think I may actually end up taking 3 Japanese language classes (of a sort) this semester.

another fandom!squee post coming because [livejournal.com profile] entrenous88 is totally right - now's the time to celebrate fandom, isn't it?
katekat: (b/g - all for you)
A while back I asked for links to Buffy/Giles stories that might intrigue people who don't normally read the pairing.**  Not the stuff we all know and love as B/G readers, but fics that are maybe unusual, intriguing, and perhaps explore the relationship in unexpected ways.

And now I give you the results of my reading and wandering through all of the lovely recs made by some truly wonderful people interested in helping me out!

B/G fics that are completely worth the read...even for the afraid )

* this fandom squee brought to you because [livejournal.com profile] entrenous88 is right - we should be celebrating our fandoms!
** disclaimer: if you don't like reading b/g, it is doubtful that reading it will change your mind. but if you're open to the possibility, but feel that you haven't encountered fic that works for you... maybe that's what this list might be for. i am not on a mission to convert the unconverted, promise, just trying to hold a door open for those who might want to walk through it.
