katekat: (felix and neil)

I can't decide if they're one of the delights of modern american processed foods or one of the signs of the apocalypse.  Given the slight rumble left in my tummy, either from existential angst or syrup, I'm leaning towards the latter.

Where is everyone today?  Probably out enjoying the summer heat, or on vacation, or doing something other than sitting at their computer.  I, on the other hand, am doing just that, taking the day off, basking in self-enforced boredom in an attempt to regain some of the energy flattened out of me last week.

However, that means I'm BORED BORED BORED.  I've just finished updating my icon/graphic website with some of the Angel things I've made (a bit prematurely since my posting day for [livejournal.com profile] autumn_of_angel is tomorrow) and now I'm clicking refresh and seriously thinking about dong homework, just to get a start on things, and because there's nothing else to distract me from it.

On the good side, Felix the cat is much better, almost like she was gone for a couple of days and finally returned to us.  She's still weak, still not quite walking at 100% with her hind legs, but she's alert.  However, she's also pouting because Neil took her back to the vet this morning to make sure her eye was healing (and to talk about everything else) and they drew blood and looked in her eye and generally did things that cats do not like.   But here and pouting at us is much better than feverish and not even noticing us until we get close.  Give me the alert-cat-evil-eye anyday.

My mom has those french toast sticks in the freezer and I ocassionally eat one although I do not bother heating them first. They are surprisingly not-bad when all frozen and brick-like.

And what are the winter and spring seasons if summer is Giles and Autumn is Angel?
