Anyhow, I still think these are fantastic. The thing that boggle my mind, with my limited knowledge of photo shop, is how you manage to either preserve or duplicate the backgrounds, while clearly altering the text and people. Did you change the colors on any of the clothes in the imitation pictures?
Thank you! I'm so glad you like 'em!! Some of the backgrounds are duplicated by using existing brushes/textures & filters, while others I actually copied from the cover and put the person into... it just depended on what I felt like I could create or not. And yep, I changed the color on the clothes for about half of the pictures, so that they'd be more like the icon.
wow - brilliant? thank YOU! And it is a little disturbing - although since I'm a big fan of detective fiction and noir and stuff, I've always thought Buffy kind of played with those ideas ...
Thanks so much! I know what you mean about the fav. characters - it was hard because I tend to like making icons with the boys more than the girls - but the pictures that fit were definitely the girls.
