Date: 2005-02-21 12:18 am (UTC)Way back about 25 years ago I took some evening classes on sexuality, became best friends with the teacher, and over time became her apprentice and then co-teacher in some of the classes (pre-orgasmic women's classes on how to have orgasms, women's sexuality for men, men's sexuality for women, couples' communication workshops). So for two or three years I was an apprentice sex educator.
During the same time, my friend and I opened a little "sensuous supplies" store selling vibrators and other sex toys, massage supplies, erotic art, sex information, etc in a woman-friendly, non-pornographic environment -- much like Good Vibrations (http://www.goodvibes.com), whose founder generously mentored us starting up our little business.
It was all a lot of fun... but ultimately the pay sucked, so I ended up getting into computers.
Computer programming pays waaaay better than sex. Which, when you think about it, is just wrong, isn't it? ;-)
