Finally settling back into school, I think.  My schedule's sorted - Gypsy Language & Culture will have to survive without me.  Instead I'm all about Power and Resistance in South East Asia.  Not that it's a class where I can be a slouch, but at least I don't have to learn the language along with the research papers.  I can't believe I've finished my homework, though.  I have one article left that I'm saving to read during my down time tomorrow, and then I'm home free.

Sadly, I have no profound revelations.  No wisdom.  It's the beginning of the semester, which means my brain feels as if it's being opened, new information slowly seeping in. 

give me a couple of months, and then the wisdom will be at my fingertips.  And I'll write interesting posts.

And I hear you about academic angst - I didn't lj it, but before i switched out of the scary class I was worried if I was going to make it this semester. Lie awake at night and stare at the ceiling worried.

I would have probably loved the Gypsy class . . . sounds right up my alley. How many hours are you taking? I'm currently taking 15, but I think I'm crazy for doing it. My brain has not yet exploded, but I'm not going to rule it out as a possibility until after mid-terms. (I didn't have a 2 year old the last time I went to school full-time. . .)

The Gypsy class would've been awesome if I wasn't taking Japanese at the same time. But there's no way I can handle a second year in one language and first semester in another. Sigh.

I'm taking 15 too, this is my second semester doing this, and it's going ok. But I don't know if I could do it with a 2-year old too! You are seriously stud-ly.

And I friended you back... and I don't mind at all!

I have to ask, too, where are you in Texas?
