Maybe everyone knows about this already?  If not though, take heed:

Comments with Fan Website links are being screened by livejournal as spam.  UNLESS you turn off the uber-spam filter that lj automatically opted us all into.  [more info here with links to how to turn it off]

There's another way to post links in a comment without getting stuck in the spam-trap: replace the tt in http with xx (or oo or aa or whatever) so the link address starts hxxp://. The spam-patrol bot doesn't recognize this as an address and allows you to post. You just need to include a note in the post that the address needs to be copy/pasted into the address bar and the xx's changed to tt's for the link to work. 8^) Sure it's not elegant and sure it's a bother, but if the community owner is AWOL or just can't be bothered, it's good to have options.
