Our baby is having some trouble with her hind legs - she jumped off the window sil last night and flopped all over the place - we took her into the vet, and there's something wrong with her, but we don't know what. She's at the vet's right now, on saline drip for the day. We hear back in a couple of hours about her x-rays. The problem is that they have no idea what it could be, and it could be a whole host of things that might not show up on an x-ray. We hear back about those in a couple of hours. It may be a permanent condition, it may go away in a couple of weeks, it ... we just don't know.

I'm sorry if I haven't commented back to anyone - won't until we have her back home safe.

well, as my my recent posting attests, the vets have absolutely no clue, the partial disconnect between her brain and the back half of her body seems to be clearning up. thank goodness for small miracles. and for friends who comment with good wishes. *hugs*

Oh dear! I hate it when pets fall ill. They can't tell you what's wrong, and they can't understand that going to the vet's is a good thing.

The whole fact that we can't speak to them totally gets in the way! Although I'd say that she spoke volumes with her eyes when she was in the vet-cage for the night... I got the distinct impression of "I'm really pissed off that you let them stick me with a needle and put me in here". But as things are looking up, we're much relieved. Thanks for the good thoughts...

*hugs* pumpkin. well, i posted again today - she seems to be much better. Not 100% recovery, but a whole lot more coordination and jumping. We're breathing big huge sighs of relief. Thanks for talking with me yesterday sweetest - helped a lot just to be able to talk.
