8 days of happy (day 1)

So, today, happy thing(s)

• I had 2 of those 'punch card' things for coffee at my favorite bagel place (both partially filled) and instead of taking them both, the woman at the counter only took one (which means I not only did I get free coffee today, I will get it again very very soon)!
• I had an absolutely great time teaching today.  There never seems to be enough time to cover all the things I think are important. But then again, how on earth can anyone teach ppl how to write in 50 minutes?  So instead I told stories that entertained myself, tried to get them to think about the links between making an argument over a beer to their friends and an academic argument (hey, grad student conversations?  not all that different), and drank lots of coffee.
• my housemate came back today!  I missed her.
  

3 whole things.  I think that counts as a win.

Yay for the happy things!! And yeah, those kinds of conversations can make some excellent points! And Yay for the return of the D! How'd it go?

and it went great!! i don't know if she's goin to want to come along tomorrow, cuz exhaughstion is a word i can't spell but that she's feeling after a week of doing great work (but if not, she can tell you herself), but they really liked her, and she liked them and the work, and she's actually *excited* about moving to LA for herself because of it and stuff and yeah, i think it was awesome. :D
