I feel like someone who woke up from a nightmare. Welcome Mr. President.

With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come.

It really happened. At last. Woke up this morning hoping I hadn't slept in too late to see it really happen.  There is something liberating, wonderful, and deeply satisfying to be excruciatingly proud that this man, this articulate, smart, unusual man is now our president.

You know, as I was watching this morning, I was just so thrilled that this country finally elected someone we can be proud of, someone who represents us, me and the people I know and love. It's just . . . ::happy sigh::

And I loved his speech, both because of the content and because I'm a total word geek and he used them well! ::another happy sigh::

You know, the other thing I forgot to say was that it was such a RELIEF! It's kind of like "yay, the world might have a chance of going right now".

And you're right about the word-geekery - who knew? a president who can be eloquent and a joy to actually listen to in terms of content!!
