officially kind of bored

so the job officially starts on monday - I'm working for our department part time (YAY MONEY!  YAY WORKING FOR THE DEPARTMENT) - but it seems ... well, for lack of a better word completely unorganized and not very ... office-y.  And the woman I need to talk to, so that I can get a bunch of organizational information, is out of the office until next week.  The woman I "trained" with gave me about an hour and a half instruction on what she does and ... that's it.  That apparently covered her job.

So the stuff I thought was going to take up my week is definitely not going to take up my week.  And I've been finishing graphics for summer_of_giles , but the last couple of things I've done are turning out ... weird ... so I figured I'd better stop.

I'm seriously thinking about going to a coffee shop for a couple of hours because I think I have cabin fever.  We shall see.

I can't wait to see the yummy stuff you come up with for SOG!! The thing I wanted to come up with just isn't materializing....maybe it will happen by the end of July...

Coffee shopping sounds far more fun than my evening (helping my dad at work).

I'll organize it even if it kills me! Actually, it shouldn't be that bad. Hopefully, though, I'm not being too pushy - that's my one drawback.

And omg, i'm emailing you what i have sometime today so you can give me the EB!approval.

Coffee didn't happen - I kind of think I might go today, but we'll see.... And helping dad at work doesn't sound so bad - at least you had something to do!

Is this a trend? That's a good way to describe my current gig, and Emmymau just got done saying he's been staked out to busywork because the person supposed to be training him is on vacation. (scratch-scratch)

Maybe people don't want others to work? I dunno! I am currently afraid I'm going to step on too many toes now, though, because I'm all hyper-kate and they're all "just check the damn emails"
