A Spike wallpaper (in two variations)

So, I've joined this lovely graphics comm called whedon_art ... and the second challenge was titled "fire".  And I'm a dork.   So I have here for you a wall in two variations.  It actually comes from a picture of a fire dancer (you  know, those magnificent souls who play with burning flame on a rope?  and then stand so someone can take etherial and beautiful pictures of them?)

Thanks! And the swirling actually isn't a technique - it's from a photo of fire dancers (for example this picture">)
