Here's something funny, in a rip-your-patriotic-heart-out-and-spit-on-it sort of way: Just last week, BushCo's State Department decided to kill the publication of an annual report on international terrorism. Why? Well, because the government's top terrorism center concluded that there were more terrorist attacks in 2004 than in any year since 1985. Isn't that hilarious? Isn't that heartwarming? Your tax dollars at work, sweetheart.

i know. < sarcasm > it makes me feel so safe and comfortable and proud of my country and all of that < /sarcasm >. And we have another three years of this crap? Ugh. Did you hear what Alan Greenspan said today too? If we don't balance the budget (not SSN, that doesn't matter, but medical costs do) we're *completely* screwed economically.

*headesk* Ugh! Why, oh why, did people vote him in? Okay, I'll give the first term the benefit of the doubt, people didn't know exactly what he'd do, but the second time? When the country was already sinking? Or do people enjoy the state the country is in? Do they feel we're A-okay and doing fine?

you'd have to ask someone who actually voted for him, but yeah, i think the perception is the country's doing as well as it can and has the *right* leader for the tough job... at least i think that's the party line.
