I just realized that I'd bounced up and down about it, but I hadn't written my official I'm DONE live journal post!

And I'm done!  It was a 10-page Japanese final.  Yep, that's right, 10 pages!  But it's over now, and I've turned in all of the papers and written all of the kanji!  Yay!

What's left now?  I have 24 days until I go to Japan!  *bounces* *whimpers*  There's so much to do before then, and I'm making plans to do it.  All starting Monday.  Because I thought that I could at least take the weekend off to celebrate the lack of that spooky feeling every college student has in the back of their heads that means more homework or tests or something on the horizon.

Last night I got taken out for mexican food and margaritas as a little end of the semester I made it through alive celebration.  That was yummy, and fantastic!  And all due to my handsome boyfriend, who kinda spoils me, but who doesn't seem to mind!  Today I slept *IN* without worrying that I was missing study time.  And we saw Spiderman 3.  I have some thoughts about that I may put in another post, if I'm motivated, but all in all, pretty fun for a summer movie.

For tonight?  I'm hoping to finally get back to all of those nice comments people left me - especially fic feedback - and make some graphics.  Yep, that's right, graphics!  Oh how I missed y'all!

ETA: If you're an icony person and bored, the most recent [livejournal.com profile] beegee_icontest closes tomorrow - we need entries!  Check it out?

ETA2: [livejournal.com profile] summer_of_giles signups are closing soon!  We have SO many fantastic people signed up to write (and some even on multiple days...soooo cool!).

Oh Wow, you're going to Japan? What are you going to do there? It's probably been posted on your LJ lately, but I'm terrible at following peoples blogs.

Okay, I just read that you're doing the summer program in Tokyo.

That's awesome! I'm here right now, and it's soooo great here.

Be prepared to not want to leave.

Where are you going to be living? Let me know if you want to get together one weekend and have some coffee or something :)

Haha, I got so lost in Yoyogi Park the other day. I decided to walk from Harajuku Station to Yoyogi Station, but that took like 30 minutes. I'm so confused that Yoyogi Park is RIGHT next to the Harajuku Station, but the Yoyogi Station is so far away!

Anyway, I'm going to Sophia University right now, which is in Chiyoda (the Yotsuya exit), but right now I'm living about 30 minutes away in Nakano.

Is that an apartment you're living in?

I'll go ahead and send you my cell phone number through e-mail soon!

How fantastic, getting to do your program in Japan soon soon soon!

I only visited Tokyo for five days (in a six-week trip around Asia), but I really enjoyed it, and would love to return.

Eeeek, will you still post regularly? I'm sure you'll have access; I'm just wondering if you'll be so super busy that you might not have much time. Well, maybe you can do a once-a-week round up to fill us in on your doings. :D

Hi! Sorry to be so late in answering. We went to see Kabuki theater (and everyone told us we would only want to buy a two-hour slot, but we wished we had gone for longer, because that particular production was so amazing), we had some of the best noodles at some of the subway stops/underground shopping centers, we ended up talking to a bunch of students and going to a crazy Mister Donut hangout where it turned out all the teenagers in that area of Tokyo flock to, we ate at Doutour every day for breakfast (super cheap, big toast slices and cafe for like under 2 bucks), we went to the Endo Museum, Tokyo International Museum, the Tea Museum (in one of the parks -- Ueno Park? I can't recall), went to visit shrines, shopped at...let's see, I think it might be called Oioio?...and other places, and that may be about all I can remember for right now. :D But the subway is ridiculously easy, we had lots of nice interactions with people, and I'd definitely be interested in returning one day. I hope you have a fantastic time on your semester there!
