Were you trying something new with this batch? The coloring seems a little off to me, although it could be my monitor, too. Otherwise, they look as awesome as your icons always do. :) I especially like 14 and 23.

i was indeed trying new color adjustments, and i agree, i'm not sure if i like the effect. although, also, i do believe my monitor is not as brilliant as some...gonna have to tone 'em down a bit i think. But thanks for the feedback sweetest!

Are you playing with some saturation effects? The icons look very intensely colored!

Also, I had either forgotten or just didn't register how many Giles/Xander framings there were in this ep. Makes me want to re-watch soon soon soon!

i discovered a radical tutorial for curves and selective color and thought i'd try them out - not sure if it worked most of the time or not, but that's part of the fun, yes?

and i think i compulsively cropped the Giles/Xander moments because I'm totally loving that pairing right now... although it's really true for most eps there's a mix and match pairing in sooo many scenes!

and the magical green cup - i miss that too. it gave me a ton of nostalgia to see it again.

You know, I really like these. I like the intensity of the sharp, hightened color. It gives me flashbacks the old days of Movie Magazines and the doctored pictures they'd publish. I think it's fitting for Jossverse. I see these icons as editorial. You're using the shading, etc. to highlight the characters and scenes. Maybe ... I don't know. It just seems so to me.

There are two I really, really love: the one of Giles w/bright blue coffee mug and the one of Cordy in the shadows. Both are truly beautiful. May I take? I will certainly credit you when I post them. (I will not take until you say so.)

Thank you lady! That is the nicest thing I think anyone's ever said about my icons. And you're right, the super-duper bright color is totally intentional and meant to be something... different but complimentary to the series.

Love the saturation of color in these. It just seems so right for the show.

Adore #12 in particular, Cordy in the Shadows. ::swoon:: And I love the look on Xander's face in #35; you can tell Cordelia's being obnoxious and Xander's thinking, "But I get to touch her boobies!" And of course #55 is my favorite. LOVE that look on her face, which is why I'm busting out this icon. ;)

Thanks for the feedback on the color, because it's definitely been either a like it or a hate it kind of thing. I was messing around with a bunch of new techniques, and I'm still on the fence about using 'em again. AND thanks so much for letting me know not only which ones you like but *why*! I adore the detailed feedback cuz it lets me know what I've done right, you know?
