For those who don't recognize it, Los Feliz is the name of my neighborhood
this picture doesn't do it justice - the couple who live in this house put out smoke machines and sound machines, ghosts in all the trees, and can you see the grim reaper on the roof?

Mom and I love gardens. Our trip to the Huntington Gardens in November was no exception. We took a lot of pictures. We got stuck in the Japanese garden. Surprised?
So the thing you have to understand is that a couple of months ago my mom moved into this new house, right? And a couple of months ago the back yard looked like this:
And in just three months, she's turned it into this:
So after playing in the garden (by which I mean digging the hole to plant that tree and, you know, getting super dirty), it was time for the actual turkey day dinner.
And that's how you get:

So, even at thanksgiving it started to feel a lot like Christmas, especially when my dad hauled out the decorations on November 30th.
