Have you read Repossession by Lazuli? It's crazy long. 124 chapters, probably the size of a couple of books. I think it's the ultimate in h/c just because they are both so damaged in it. She's also in the middle of writing a new one called Manifestation that is excellent as well. It's up to 25 chpapters.

I'll try to think of some others too.

I don't have any h/c I can think of right at this very moment, but I am currently rereading a "Older Men, Far Away (http://www.wickedsky.com/wenchstavern/Fic/OlderMenFarAway.html) by Gileswench which has a lot of comfort but not so much hurt.

It has a happy ending though. :) And James from Manchild as Giles' twin brother.
