OH MY GOD WE BOUGHT A HOUSE
Or, rather, we made an offer. And they made a counter offer. And we accepted their counter offer. And now we're getting inspections and Neil's measuring the rooms and they changed the MLS listing to "pending" and everything is coming along so fast it's making my head spin. It doesn't feel quite real. Yet nothing could be more real.
We keep asking ourselves, when did we turn into adults?
So, you wanna see it? There are some fabulous pictures from Neil's cell phone here.

And the roof.
And the wiring.
And dont' trust those fucking texans as far as you can throw them.

Can't throw texans...they throw back. It gets messy. But I promise to keep an eye on all of 'em cuz they're shifty.

But, trust me, it doesn't make you a grown up. My husband and I decided we'll officially be grown ups when we have matching bedroom furniture.

And it is a weird and kind of surreal experience, you know? Everything happened so fast too - we started looking online 6 months ago, but we actually *went out* and looked for houses for 2 weeks, and now, here we are, with... a house! But sometimes that happens...

thanks dearest lady! this also means if you ever make your way down to texas (and obviously, once we've moved in) there will be a guest room... it may only have pillows for a bed, but it'll have a closeable door. ;)
