The new shoes gave me nickel sized blisters on my heels by the time I got to my first class.  Then came the cramps.  In the heat.  And to compensate for the blisters I walked on tiptoe across campus, so leg cramps set in.  I hobbled/limped from class to class, finally tearing the shoes off in frustration and going barefoot.  Only to find that there are tiny bits of glass mixed in with the pebbles they use for paving in certain parts of the campus: namely the parts that I had to walk over.

At least the day is done.  And I got an A- on my French Film paper.  And most of my homework for tomorrow is done.

That's the worst part of new shoes - they break your feet before you break them in.

I've got some lovely scars on my feet thanks to new shoes. The worst was a blister I got on the side of my foot during the summer. No matter what alternative shoes I wore, they all rubbed on that blister.

With luck, the shoes will give and you can have comfy, cool feet.

eeek - the worst are when it's somewhere that you can't escape from! i switched shoes into something that doesn't rub, so at least that's one problem i don't have to worry about...

now as for breaking the shoes in, sadly, they're cloth already, so i don't know if i can break 'em in. if they were docs, i'd grin and bear it. sigh. so much for bying things because they look comfy...

Owie. I had to walk around work in sock feet on Monday because my high heels rubbed a sore on my right heel. I'm gonna take them to the shoe store and see if they can stretch the right one out a little. The left foot is fine, but the right one is too tight.

and sadly, they're cloth shoes, so they shouldn't be hurting me as much as they do. and they were supposed to be new substitute "comfy" shoes. grrr.

Dude! That's so wrong. Cloth shoes aren't supposed to be ouchy on the feet. It's, like, against the law are something.
