Wow! How awesomely productive of you! Congrats on dropping the first chapter of your thesis to the committee! And the email you sent them was perfect, because you asked for specifics for feedback. You are a rock star!
I know that feeling of accomplishment when you fix things. I had to fix my new crutches. One of the tips got shredded and I was in grave danger of doing myself more injury as the metal in would slip along the tile when I was out at the middle school for the choral concerts. Very scary. Anyway, I took the tips from my US (under the arm) crutches and they fit my UK (arm band style) crutches perfectly. I wasn't sure that was going to work, but hey, they did and boom, crutches work again. So congrats on fixing your chair. It would've been a travesty to have to throw it out and find something new.
Yay on new housemate! Sorry you will be lonelier, but it sounds like an awesome deal. Almost having no roommate and not having to pay all the rent. :)
I have several friends who live in San Diego. Thankfully they are living in areas that are not affected. Hopefully it stays that way. And I hear the weather is turning, so fingers crossed that the firefighters will get them under control and put out soon.
I've been watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Game of Thrones. Wow to both. The AoS finale was great. Game of Thrones... let's just give Peter Dinklage every Emmy now. I did watch a few episodes of Elementary this season and enjoyed it, but not enough to be drawn in to watch every week. I never did get back into Arrow and I really liked the first 4 or 5 eps I watched on the plane last summer. And now I hear John Barrowman is going to be a series regular. I might have to go catch up. And Veronica Mars. I want to get into that. I just need to set aside the time.
Stay cool... and I mean that literally and figuratively. :) *Hugs*
