Thanks lady. The good and the bad is that he's on the lease too, and he's obligated to give the landlady 30 days, yes, and she is actually in Thailand till the first part of Feb (Possibly the 10th? It's not clear). So there is a very good possibility he's going to need to pay through february. I just hate the russian roulette of housemate searches.
How did you find yours? Through friends? I think I'm going to have to be craigslisting it unfortunately.
I Craig's listed it, too, and actually I've always had awesome luck with that (*knocks on wood*). I go off of vibe more than anything else. I can usually eliminate the whackos through email. This time around I think I invited 10 people to look at it. Of those, I'd have been willing to live with 4 and wanted to live with 2. One of those 2 had much better timing, so that's who we went with.
Anyway, I hope your search goes well! The good news is that, given a full month, you're almost guaranteed to find someone suitable.
