Another test.  First one of Japanese II, but it feels like the 50th.  There's something decidedly wrong about learning fast track Japanese.  Although I shudder to think what would happen if I'd tried to do it in fall - I think I'd be in college for far longer than the money would actually keep me.

So I got the exam back today - and it was a double whammy day yesterday with the written in the morning and the oral after that - and got a C on the written and a B on the oral.

Yippe!  I'm good with oral. *grin*

The hardest part?  I still like learning Japanese, but I'm starting to fizzle with the actual drill motivation.  Vocabulary is not my friend.  I know enough grammar to be my own enemy.  I lost lots of points on the test on little things I should've been paying more attention to.  Sigh.

Luckly there are only 3 more tests to go and then I get to go back to *real* school in the fall.  Woot.

In the meantime, I'm trying to stay away from the computer as much as possible since it seems to be my downfall - I'd much rather comment and play online and goof than study - and that's not helping in the least.  Well, it's helping me get Cs.

I couldln't resist this.

Here is my horoscope from Free Will Astrology this week:

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Thousands of years ago, inhabitants of India thought the Earth was carried by giant elephants, which in turn were balancing on the back of a huge turtle, which itself was perched on top of a stupendous snake. We laugh at this belief now, but many of us have equally preposterous ideas about the way reality is constructed. I mention this, Libra, because it's the best time in many moons for you to revisit your own versions of the elephant-turtle-snake theory. I promise you it will be liberating. So examine any unwieldy delusions that are at the foundation of your personal worldview. Look for evidence that supports your theories about the nature of life, and if you can't find any evidence, abandon the theories.

And then I saw a reccommednation for this fabulous little tale of slashy blasphemy (recc'd by [livejournal.com profile] tabaqui ).

Yes, it has God on Satan action.  You're warned.  But, I thought it was totally appropriate for the moment.  Go, read it.  Delight.
