Wow, excellent work. And you are brave for showing the original source pic. I hesitate to do that because I feel it can ruin the illusion once you see the original. In any case, this one looks wonderful. The shadowing matches up well and the coloring is spot on. The texutre/noise of the two pieces matchs up great too, which is one of those things I battle against every time. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy your work and I love that you're doing manips.

brave? i'm not sure i'd call it that - possibly crazy (because then people can see the inconsistencies... the illusion gets broken...but i do like knowing how other people put their work together so i've been trying to be more open about the process). And thank you for the lovely feedback lady - you know I adore it. It's sweet of you to talk about how I matched the texture too - it's one of the things I envy your work for, because you do such a seemless job of smoothing that no one can tell.

I definitely love that Giles source pic - he's so much happier as an actor than so many others, and the grin is so infectious. Besides, Giles with a book? Never a dour expression (well, ok, prophecies aside). Thanks for the feedback lady!
