Why don't people realise that the sun is going to shine for a certain amount of hours that remains constant, regardless of what time it is? Saying it's 6pm isn't going to make the sun shine any longer. I don't even get the point of this propsition. How is it going to work? Most people are time, not sun-based, these days (as you said).
I'm really trying hard to figure out how this is going to save any energy... Can't come up with it. Unless people only get up 30 mins before work, then go immediately to bed 30 mins afterward, which is, I'm sure, how the world works *rolls eyes*. Also? Most businesses and such have their lights on during business hours, and those are constant hours, not-in-any-way based on the sun...
