beware the loss of older fic archives

geocities is over.  i've been trying to go through some of my fandom stuff and figure out which authors had archives there (there weren't a ton, but ... they're out there).  Hopefully most of their stuff is archived somewhere else.

and just because dwg has awesome link-fu, I am now aware of giant spiders taking over Yokohama. And you should be too. they are AWESOMESAUCE.

I think I've probably mentioned to you before that I'm not the most astute person with the tech, but this was simple enough to get even my attention.

It at least raised an eyebrow. I didn't even know tripod existed before a few years ago, but geocities has been at least on my radar as "some internet thing," since I was in college.
