gray_ghost finally bullied me into updating my delicious account.... I've now uploaded ALL of my bookmarks, and am slowly going through and sharing them to the world.

Damn I bookmark a lot.

If you're bored and you want to make an account, delicious is a way you can share your bookmarks to other people in your network (and keep 'em online for access from any computer, I suppose).

If you get on, and want my weird bookmarks (really, they go from obscure japanese anime to all my graphics resource websites to poetry to math to ... yeah, i bookmark a lot), I'm (not surprisingly) katekat1010

I don't know if anybody else occasinally freaks out that LJ is gonna go down and you're going to lose all your entries. Maybe it's just me. But there's this totally free way to actually create a PDF book of your live journal. For all of my entries it took about 3.5 minutes and now I have a pretty document that even captured thumbnail versions of most of my art!

Wow that delicious site scares me. I don't bookmark a lot, but what I do have bookmarked is entirely embarrassing...it's all neopets or neopets related *blush* And a few things, like BDSM library, that you pointed out. Altho' I'll go check yours out...'cos dude, I love seeing what you like ;)

And I must say that no, I really don't get too freaked out about LJ crashing and losing all my entries. 'Cos honestly? it's not like there's a whole lot to lose. Some crappy fic and my day-to-day stuff.

it actually scares me a little too - i imported and then realized that it really doesn't edit en mass like i would've wanted it to. *sigh* so it's going to take me a while to get things *in order* so to speak. GRR.

And it's part of your life though! well, ok, so my mom definitely made it so I adore journals and it shows, doesn't it? looking back, my posts were different than they are now, but i'm glad i have 'em.

You can make some or all of your del.icio.us bookmarks private -- there's a function called "private saving" you can turn on (under the category "settings") which allows you to check a box saying "do not share" when you create or edit a bookmark.

You can also make private the people/users in your network (users whose bookmarking you're following).

So you should try it out! :)

Well, out of 49 bookmarks, only 12 aren't neopets related (and most of the neopets bookmarks require a membership to view). However, one of my bookmarks is a link to your fic :)

Altho', I might have to try it just 'cos.

Yay for promoting del.icio.us! I think it's such a fantastic concept and site, and I'm all for as many as possible people using it for fandom (and other) purposes.

*grin* it is pretty cool! now my only job is to actually organize all my links (which is a tiny bit harder than i thought it was going to be... oh well, yay for procrastination!)

Have fun going through my links! It was weird finding out just how many fandoms I've read over the years. lol. And I still have more Smallville fics to go through. LOL. (I bookmarked each and every Smallville fic I liked for the past four years. There are a lot. And I want to reread them to make sure they're actually still good. LOL)

And I will add websites and icons and stuff at some point. Heh. :D
